Default need help on custom project

hi

my buddy and I are working on his custom turbo kit. neither he or me has experience with this nor are we mechanics but we did read many articles regarding turbo kits. for welding & stuff we will hire a welding expert.

he has a B16A2 and his goal is 250 to 300 HP at the crank.

what we have already:
- new KKK K26 turbo
- new BMW intercooler
http://www.villagephotos.com/p...07602

- used GSR pistons (1,8 vti)
- B16 SS flange
- oem lightened flywheel

what we intend to get:
- custom SS exhaust manifold
- custom IC piping
- custom exhaust 2,5"
- tial 38 mm 8 psi wastegate
- 440cc injectors
- blitz or hks blow off valve
- oil cooler kit
- a/f, fuel pressure, boost gauges
- greddy profec b II boost controller
- blitz turbo timer
- hondata s200
- clutchnet street friction disk

do we need anything else / is there something we don't need?

if we get hondata is there still a need for a missing link or similar for the map sensor?
how do you know which is the oil feed and which is the oil drain plug on the turbo? one is bigger and one is smaller. does the oil feed plug have to be exactly on the top and the drain plug exactly on the bottom? is it possible to turn the compressor side the way you like? how do you do it?

thanks to you all.

don't know yet I hope so. the Blitz turbo kit for the B16A uses the same turbo but I don't know how much power it makes. I think it's about the size of a T3 but has a slightly bigger turbine section with two inlets.

im going to be 100% honest...i dont know anything about K series turbos...if it has any numbers on it...that would really help...
the bmw intercooler looks kinda small....i dont know...250hp it probably is just okay...im not sure...i dont really know about it...but just from the looks it looks questionable...

What i would do for a B16a2 is the following:
T3 .60/.63 or a T3/T04e .63
Inline Pro or custom manifold...either or
Custom Coach FMIC
Tial 38mm Wastegate
450cc DSM injectors
1g DSM BOV
EGT and Boost Gauges
Manual boost Controller
Any turbo timer...doesnt matter to me...they all work the same
hondata s100 is the same as s200 but s100 doesnt allow you to tune...if you dont plan on tuning yourself...save yourself $50-100 and just buy the s100

exhaust can be found at http://www.accordinglydone.com for a pretty good price

IC piping can be found at your local muffler shop dumpster or http://www.jcwhitney.com

you need 1.5" or something piping for a Dumptube from the wastegate. you will also need a flange as well

you also will need oil lines...stealthmode on hmt is the man for those....

good luck...

hey, thanks for the info.

I don't know why you think the IC is small. actually it has a greater volume than the Greddy and Drag kit intercoolers. it's core size is 540mm x 130mm and it's 110mm thick. in inches: 21" x 5" x 4.4"

here it is again from a different angle and after my buddy polished it today
