sounds like your OE pump is bad, or potentially your having a hard time getting good spark under that sorts of compression. check your fuel filter, clean your injectors, upgrade your ignition. It could really be a number of things, but check those things first, sounds more fuel related rather than spark, but check it all. 12:1 compression + boost = kaboom.

I know that my hybrid with 11.5 to one has hard time getting it to go. she sputters sometimes too, she'll fire, just give it a day or so.

im sorry i meant 12:1 FMU not compression its an LS ...so you think fuel pump first ??? it will idle when cold for about 15 secs then sputters ...drops down to 100 for about 10 secs raises up to about 1000 then drops and shakes and dies..then wont start

Ok here is my opinion...
Sounds like your fuel pump. do you have an Inline Fuel pump? Do you have any kinks in the vacuum sources for the FMU? it could be alot of things as mentioned above. sounds fuel problems. maybe get another fuel pump, switch them out, takes 30 mins. and see what happens. then go from there, but hopefully that will fix it.

let us know what happens. But, like they said, it could be anything. When installing things, there are soo many things you have to be able to go back and check. Vacume lines, fuel pressure etc. Do you have a fuel pressure guage on the FPR? Doesnt that tell you if the ammount of FP is resonable>? I would rather spend 30 bux on a Fuel Pressure guage to help diagnose the issue rather than spend an *** on a fuel pump if you dont need it. Good Luck

that is actually a go way to look at it. a fuel pressure guage will tell you a lot, instead of changing the fuel pump. i reccommend getting a fuel pressure gauge and see what the fuel is doing. Steve Berman
