im running a b17a1 (first gen gsr) in my ek and im looking on going turbo with it. i already have my intercooler, boost controller, and injectors i still need my manifold and a lot of other little things. i was wondering if anyone can tell me what turbo would be best for my application. also im probbaly gonna buy a custom manifold from my friend i was wondering how important a the manifold is, like can they blow or something if it cant handle the boost? and also how high would i be able to boost on a stock b17 motor. i cant afford a complete turbo kit so im buying part by part but if anyone can please tell me what turbo would be best for a b17 motor, and try to answer the rest of my questions i would appreciate it if u let me know thanx

 

i reccomend getting something from Precision. PM Arturbo on this board,he can help you pick the right one.

I jsut ordered a SC61 for my 1.8. The turbo would probably work well on your engine as well if you want big numbers. even at low boost you should make good power with this turbo. get a good fuel system also

 

I'm also going turbo on my b17. are you going to build the motor any? do you need to build the motor for small boost like 6-7 psi?

 

i plan on boosting very low and slowly start to build so i can reach higher boost levels later on down the line, but if anyone can still help me out it would be appreciated
