I am a complete newbie so forgive me if some of my questions are stupid. (Some of these desires may in fact be contradictory )I have a 88 1.5L civic (not DX or anything) that I am interested in doing a swap on. I want to get a good engine to put turbo on, maybe one day nitrous too. This car will be a daily driver so I want good reliability. Can you recommend a good engine for such a project (possibly a hybrid)? What engine mods would you recommend to strengthen it under turbo? Or is this not necessary unless you are doing alot of boost? I would like to avoid welding or having to get a new hood if possible but if there was a better engine for what I wanted to do I would have to seriously consider doing those mods. I considered getting a B16A since from everything I read seems to indicate it was an easy swap. I would also like to do this as cheap as possible. Is there a recommended way I could maybe do my own T3/T4 turbo? Are all 450 injectors generally able to fit Hondas or are there certain cars I can get them from in a salvage yard? How can I tell injectors and turbos are good at a salvage yard?
