Default need advice, on bottom end

I'am pulling my motor out of my car for a paint job and since it's coming out I figued might as well do the bottom end. My question is can I get away with just pistons running @12lbs boost street and 14lbs at the track with out rods. currently have b16a motor running @8lbs boost daily with no problems, i can also get a b18a bottom end. need advice.

if you are going to get pistons atleast throw a set of cheap eagle rods in there. they are safe for 14psi of boost and atleast they are stronger than stock.
