need advice on boosted H22 setup
i'm going to turbocharge my bone stock JDM H22A
think i might use a T04E 60trim t3 .63 a/r turbine housing with a stage 5 wheel....or maybe a precision sc61? not sure yet....
anyway, i want to get all the fuel management stuff taken care of before the turbo goes in and was wondering if you guys had any advice.
here's what i'm thinking....
hondata s200 with boost (chipped P28)
msd 6a or msd sci???
AEM fuel rail w/ AEM FPR (damn expensive)?....stock rail with B&M FPR?....STR rail with (whatever FPR will fit)?
walbro in-tank fuel pump
no idea on clutch/flywheel combo...
it's been a long day so that might not be it, but yes, i'm boosting the stock motor. i might look into getting a headgasket since i've read good things about inlinepro. but if i did miss something then please feel free to remind me
Note: i'll be shooting for around 7-9psi daily driven and i'm HOPING for at least 300whp (hey, i can dream can't i?)

If that's correct then I would really recommend you atleast get Inline's headgasket to bump down the compression. I'm not saying you can't run the turbo on your stock motor, I just think its better to be a little on the safe side.
Personally I wouldn't go with AEM's FPR. I've heard enough stories of it losing pressure under high loads. Titan Motorsports has an ongoing deal with B&M FPRs.
I don't know if you'd need to worry about getting an aftermarket ignition setup just yet.

you don't think 300$ for a head gasket is expensive?

I actually researched this, since I am getting it. And no preludes have had any problems w/ it. Only the early models were having problems and those were all on the b motors. Unless the ones having problems didnt want to tell me

Re: need advice on boosted H22 setup (Prelude Vtec 23)
what size injectors will i need?
and yes, $300 is damn expensive for a headgasket but i sure as hell don't wanna blow my motor. only question is how thick of a headgasket would be best? what CR?
a friend of mine ran a copper cometic headgasket on his LS turbo and it was crap.
i wouldn't mind trying out an AEM FPR if it wasn't so expensive. rather find something cheaper like a B&M.

keep the compression at 10.6. don't buy a thicker headgasket to lower compression. you will be fine as long as you have correct timing, a good fuel managment system, and good tuning. high compression and turbo works good as long as you have good tuning.

you're going hondata, so just get some huge injectors this way the duty cycle is low, and you'll never have worries about running out of injector...i have some CPR 720cc's for sale for 220$ brand new...drop me a pm!
