n20 for my all motor setup???
I was wondering if running an n20 shot (35-75) will be a good idea. I've heard that running a n20 shot on serious all motor cars isn't a good idea. Now I will list my setup below. I am basically looking for different ideas on a lot of things. I've considered turbo and threw that out the window. I've been considering skunk2 stage 2 cams and raising the compression and now I am looking into the benefits of n20 (obviously, just for track use only). I autocross the car too, but there isn't any good events around here. So the 1/4 mile is basically my goal. Let me know if I can safely run n20 and what I need to do to run n20? Also, what kind of shot am I looking at? My car is my daily driver so I am not looking at blowing it up just for some good hp numbers or good track numbers. Basically is it a good idea.....
Power Mods:
DPR Stage 6 Headwork
Type R Cams
Toda header 4-2-1
Skunk 2 manifold
Type R CAI
Kakimoto 70mm exhaust
Carsound Cat
Tuning Device:
Apex-i VAFC
Other Mods:
Fidanza Flywheel
Exedy clutch
B&M short shifter
Underdrive pulley
Valvetrain:
Oversized ceramic coated valves
titanium retainers
ITR valvesprings
Titanium V-TEC cross-over pins
Transmission:
ITR tranny
JDM 4.785 FD
Kaaz 1.5 Way LSD
Suspension:
Koni double adjustable shocks
Neuspeed springs
front and rear sway bars
Also, STR cam gears and ECU chipping will be done in the very near future, then dyno tuning.
thanks for your time. I am going over my options. this would be good because I could use the n20 at the track and get some better times, and I could also have my same realiable setup for the street.

Re: n20 for my all motor setup??? (patdemps)
well judging by the setup, you havent really fooled around with the compression yet and being that you have a gsr, i would see any reason why it would handle a little n20. i would take it to a dyno once you hvae the kit and make sure you arent running lean.
Also, dont run a chipped ecu with n20 unless you retard the timming while on nitrous, because most chips advance timming...

If I wasn't going turbo in the next few months I would go all-motor and some nitrous. IMO, its a great idea.
I would do 50-100 shot but probably keep it at 75 since I'm always paranoid. Make sure when you chip your ecu it doesn't advance your timing, unless you get an ignition that can pull timing when you spray. I would also grab a fuel pump, some colder plugs, and a new fuel filter. If you keep it at a 50 shot, stock timing should be okay.
I have a direct port setup waiting to go in, I'm going to pull some timing with UBERDATA.
Good luck.

Re: n20 for my all motor setup??? (slashDEVslashNULL)
Thanks for the input.
I am having Greg (Cheetah) chip my ecu. Ill let him know to keep the stock timing and that I plan on running nitrous.
What kind of fuel pump?
Colder Plugs which ones?
What kind of fuel filter?
Is this all I would have to do besides purchasing the kit?

no prob.
1. walbro 255-hp ------- lighning has them for 99 shipped
2. ngk bkr7e
3. oem
should probably get a fpr & gauge too------titan has the b&m with gauge for 80 shipped
4. I think so, unless I forgot anything
edit: Some motor mount inserts would be good too. I am doing what itr206 did : https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=645317 I believe lightning has those also ~60 for all of them.
