I found your setup in a search I don't exactly understand how the jim fabs work --do they replace the upper and lowers so I don't need to buy any inserts?
http://www.jimfab.com/motor/motor.html

Just get the 3 mounts pictured above?

Thanks for your help BTW.

The top 2 are the lower torque mounts

The single one looks like a rear tranny bracket mount....

the basically are stronger than using the ES inserts on your factory mounts

they get from me

okay, so what are Prothane Race UPPER Inserts that itr206 is using? Would I not need them with the jimfabs, or are they too replaced by the jimfabs? Sorry for the nood questions Thanks

Those inserts are for the motor mounts you can see. The ones picture above replace the motor mounts you can't see. You can use the inserts, or you can replace the upper mounts as well with something like Hasport or Place Racing mounts. But that starts getting expensive, and probably overkill.

Thanks, so just the jimfabs would be enough.

Even better, fill the big gaps with chopped up polyurethane cutting board and then fill in the rest in with Windo-weld. A favorite of the DSM crowd

Depends what setup you have, and what direction your looking to take the car. I ran as fast as 10.92 on ALL stock mounts and as fast as 10.57 with just a hasport rear mount and hasport drivers side mount, the rest were stock..Keep in mind, the more stronger the mounts are, the more stress yer placing on the axles and differential.. I know alot of pro cars that still maintain some stock mounts, and use aftermarket mounts here and there. If you want some extra stability, just go with a rear mount, ansd see how you like it, if you want to get the side mounts, then take it from there..

I agree with Ron .

Here's what I did, keep in mind my power goals are 350-400 whp

rear mount (fire wall) Replaced with HASport (150.00) People say you might get more vibration inside, I'll tell you when my motor is in

on the Tranny side 9upper and lower), I used 3M Window Weld and its strong as heck. That stuff is like working with HOt bubble gum, its a pain!

Heres the link I used

http://importnut.net/motormount.htm

Hope this helped

- Fred

whichever you would like..either choice is a good one. its all about how deep your pockets are. you can use the jimfab and hasport mounts in conjunction with eachother if you so desire.

I used the lower jimfab mounts, the Hasport rear mount, and filled the top mounts with some stuff made by Davcon (something like that). It cost me 45 bucks fof the mix to do it but they are solid as a rock.

see i went with somewthing stronger all the way around becuase i was having all kinds of probs with wheel hop and **** and sick of replacing trannies. I rather have it all stiff. IMO the wheel hop is much worse than the stiffness
