Default is this a myth or a fact?

ok, i got my motor built and the engine builder told me that the whole "changing oil after like 15 minutes of idle is all BS. he said if the engine builder does his job right, there shouldnt be ANY shavings in the block. and also told me that im fine to run it up to 1000miles without changing the oil, and when i do, i wont see any shavings. thats what i did, and didnt see any shavings. My buddy insists from what these guys are telling him that you should--->let it idle for about 15-20 min, shut the car off, drain the oil and put new fresh oil in, then drive it around for about 100-200miles and drain all the oil out again to get any missed shavings that wouldnt have came off at idle, then you should be set for ## 3-4k mile oil change routine<---. is that accurate? and another thing, he said he was told to beat the ***** off his eclipse gst, which if you dont know is turboed. That by beating the **** off it for about 20 mins wil make the rings seat best because it will seat to a lot of boost...i dont believe thats accurate either. anyones .02cents will help.
