My weekend at fun ford.
some of you know that I attended the Fun Ford weekend here in Ennis like I always do every year. I was gonna race in the Focus Frenzy and I even rented a 4-dr automatic focus since it was bracket racing. The bad thing is that I wasnt able to race because I got there when the 1st round of eliminations started. I did this because the payout was $1500 and the guy that won had a rented focus. hehe
I saw Gary Kubo there and we chatted a few.
Here are some pics:
Dan Millen
Elenor
My buddy chip haveman
The points leader: mike murillo
Gary and Art checking out the precision turbo car(all the heavy hitters use precision)
Cobra with an indentity crisis?

Re: My weekend at fun ford. (Arturbo)
My good buddy Joe DaSilva from J&P Performance walked away with all the goods. I was going to roll down with him but I couldn't get out of work. He ran 6.54 @217 in the finals against Chuck Samuels for the win. Joe told me there is still more left in that bad boy. He still is not running the same size turbo as Chuck but that will soon change. Check out Joe's webpage at http://www.dasilvaracing.com Look for 6.40's next time out. His shop is 2 min from my work so I am always there at lunch time.

those turbos are used as high powered blow dryers... they blow right into the compartment dry and style their hair!! didnt you know mustang owners are gay hairsylists (joking..no offence to mustang owners or any male hair stylist)

Hell yeh. good pics Art. Fun Ford Kicked ***. It was my first one to attend and WOW was it bad ***. I have never seen so many huge turbos in my life. It wasnt a complete domestic weekend though, a bunch of the cars were running HKS wastegates hehe. It was a lil wierd rolling into the Fun Ford parking lot in my integra.

Im drooling over here. I want a single turbo V8. Preferably a 71 Pontiac ram air bird with the two nostrils feeding the turbo

MIKES, you should have come it was alot of fun. Joe's car is soooo fast, well all the outlaw cars are fast and so are the Pro 5.0 cars.
As for the quater mile, you are looking at 6sec 200+mph cars.
And yes, the pipiping goes into the firewall because the huge liquid to air IC sits where the passanger seat used to be.
Do you guys notice anything about the picture with Gary Kubo in it? Look real good.... The guys that went with me to fun ford and Joe dont say anything.

Re: My weekend at fun ford. (2K_TEG)
A couple of us like Falcongsr, DIRep972, Viren, and myself know this guy who has a 88 LX with a Precision turbo the size of my wheels and its a street car. I think its 1400whp on a freaking street car. He run low 10's at 150mph on street tires. SICK!!
