My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (pics)
Here is my Type R after tuning it with my new stand alone (Hondata).
I hope these pics work::
The blue line was the baseline with no tuning, no boost controller, etc. It was soo rich we just stopped the run at 7k.
The red line is with lots more tuning and only 7-8psi I believe.
The green line was my last dyno run after tuning it for the day. I was pleased with the results.
Here is the last dyno with torque curve also.
Here is my Hondata on my passenger seat running the Datalogging program.
The only way I can describe the power now is smooth. I highly recommend going stand alone. There is nothing else that feels like this. It is soo amazingly smooth.

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (boost killz)
Can you also list your mods? My roommate is finishing up his ITR DRAG install as I write this. He is considering a standalone. Thanks.

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (TurboIntegra)
very nice!
so were you running 8 psi of boost on run 029 or was that a typo?
The fact that you increased hp by 54% just by some tuning with Hondata makes me really interested in it. Did you tune yourself or do you have a buddy doing it for you? How difficult is the software to use?....also, which stage do you have (2,3, 4? Honda Logger and ROM editor?)?
sweet...keep it up. I'd like to find out what that thing does in the 1/4. Also, please list your turbo specs...you must have built the engine too, yes? What parts are you using?

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (VaporTrail)
Boost killz- Nope. I have no internal work. BONE STOCK. Just lowered the compression.
degrated- On the last run it was on 11.5psi I believe. NOT 8. With no signs of detonation.
I will post my mods later because I have to go meet a beautiful girl right now

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (quick108)
Yeah we tried to tune the cams. But oddly they were almost best left untouched. We did manage to extract some power out of them. I dont remember the setting though.

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (TurboIntegra)
Very impressive! Congrats!. I must agree that after tuning (esp with a stand alone) power delivery is amazingly smooth. Prior to tuning our Project Integra, if felt amazing fast (and Good) however, after tuning it was night and day difference (although we did gain 50whp and 40ft/lb at the same time).

Interesting note though, we also found that cam gear tuning (with stock GSR cams) yeilded no power gains at all. 0 - 0 made the most power even with a Skunk2 intake manifold.

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (G3-TEG)
Did you lower the compression by means of a thicker (copper) head gasket?
And if so which one and how thick was it?
One more, ... any idea what it dropped the compression ratio too?
Nice work by the way.
Can't wait to start/finish boosting my R.

So give us the details! Are you running a stock bottom end? Did you lower the compression at all? Or was this just a straight up bolt-on job? Nice dyno sheet!!!

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (SiRkid)
SiRKID: You do? Please share them. We love to see what other people captured of our cars. Also, if anyone happened to record the street racing broadcast that KVOS TV12 did about 1.5 month ago about Mission Raceway, please let me know. Our integra was featured in it as well.
PS: Next months (JDM) Options Magazine will feature our Project Integra! There's an article comparing USDM Turbo Integra VS JDM Turbo Integra. Look for it!

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (G3-TEG)
Well I dont know my COMPLETE list of mods, because that would take forever. But here are the basics:
00 Type R
Stock internals
Lowered compression with headgasket to 9.5.1??
Drag Gen III Turbo kit (w/ Tial)
3" Downpipe
3" Exhaust N1(no cat of course)
Sard Fuel pressure regulator
Hondata stage 2b+ Datalogging + 3bar mapsensor + Intake manifold gasket.
RC 440cc injectors
OBD II to OBD I harness
P28 ECU
ACT clutch
MSD 6BTM igntion + Coil
Adjustable cam gears
Those are the basics. There are lots more little things. But it would take forever to type.

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (TurboIntegra)
what kind of head gasket do you have, where can i find one? i'll be getting my drag III soon, and want to boost 10 on the track and 8psi on the street.... Don't want to go as high as you my man, unless you think it would be safe enough, i'm getting hondata too...
Also, the headgasket install, is it straight forward, or something that should be taken to the shop for. I would think you just take the head off, and slap that sucker on, and put the head back on. Correct?

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (Double 06)
Swapping the head gasket isn't 'THAT' easy. You said it all in one sentence. Here's look a whats involved:
http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/m...ld/build3.html
This is a turbo motor build up, but you can see that everything on the head must be disconnected and then you have to partly dissasseble to valve train to get to the head studs/bolts to remove the head.

Re: My Type R dynoed with HONDATA (joe pagolac)
(joe pagolac): You must convert to Obd I. Which is a fairly simple thing to do. This is becasue Hondata only works on Obd I cars.
For more information about prices, parts, etc go to :: http://www.hondata.com
Oh and about the headgasket-- G3Teg is right. It does require quite a bit of work. It is not a bolt on affair. I purchased my headgasket from A.E.B.S.
