Default is my turbo to big?

Hey there, have been reading everywhere but really can't find the answer I'm looking for... so to start this out..
I have a fully build y8 Vitara build

Here is my build list.

Dsm 440cc black top injectors
AEM fuel rail
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Supertech valve train (valves,springs, retainers)
Crower 63441yt stage II forced injunction cam
Port & polish
AEM Tru time cam gear
Speed factory 4 bar map sensor
Gates racing timing belt
75.5mm YCP Vitara 8.5:1 pistons
FJ Distributors H beam forged Rods
ACL Bearings
Supertech block guard
Toga high volume oil pump
XTD 10lb flywheel
Competition clutch stage III

Blitz BOV
Go Autoworks SS mini ram manifold
Treadstone TR8 Intercooler
Turbosmart ultra gate 38 waste gate
Precision 61mm 6152 .70 .63 turbo.

Now the question is, is this turbo too big?
Has anyone done a built vitara build with this turbo or a gt35r (similar turbo)

...I don't see how a picture would be even remotely relevant or necessary. That said, how much horsepower are you going for? I can tell you that you'll run out of injector well before you run out of air with a GT35. It depends on your power goal, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say yes, that turbo is too big.

Looking to tune for around 400hp I know after a couple more supporting mods it will exceed that but this is my goal for the time. I understand the injectors Will not keep up, precision 1000cc are already in order but for the moment this is what I have. I'm not looking to get full use out of this turbo but I'm just wondering how bad is the lag going to be? From what I've read on many post full spool will be around 5-5500rpms thus only giving me a couple thousand rpm of a good power band. Would it be better to find a smaller turbo or should I hold onto this one?

Definitely get something smaller. You should be thinking more GT30 (or maybe even 2871) than GT35.

I'm not wanting a gt35r, I'm just using that as a comparison with mine. OK that's a couple other people have said.

It's no secret I'm a proponent of "almost anything" over a Precision turbo. I've heard better PR from knockoff companies. Get yourself a real 2871 or 30R, you won't regret it.
