Default Stock Rods???

could someone clarify I was reading that if you got forged pistons and used the stock rods out of the f22 that it would be good for 300-400hp in a turbo f22.

I have a 1992 prelude with the f22 and I planed on building it for turbo only for 300-400hp peak. I thought I would save myself some money if the stock rods would hold up.

Thanks guys

Andrew

the stock engines (pistons/rods) can be pushed to 300-400 without too much issue. just tune it conservatively-with no detonation, and run good fuel, and it'll work

Ive got pretty much everything but I am having a tough time with picking a Block Guard. I found the KMS performance one but I thought i would just check with you guys to see what you thought.

Also I was wondering what CAM I should put in. I was think crowler but didn't see any on the web site so im guessing that it has to be custom.

And also are the ARP head studs the same for the H23 as the F22? And should I get Main ARP bolts?

Thanks guys,

Andrew

you dont neccessarily need a block guard,..the sleeves are thicker than D/B sleeves, and rather strong.

the H23 studs are it, yes. identical.

cam...i'd call Bisimoto.. Bisimoto.com

he made mine. it makes great power.. they can custom make them for you desired power level, streetability, etc.

so you think that i don't need it because of the stronger core. Thats good to hear. it will save me about 200 dollars.

ive heard both ways that it helps and that it doesent. they say it makes your engine run hotter. I believe I will be ok.

thanks, Andrew
