my setup is something wrong or is it just me?
i have a jdm h22 closed deck sleeved, bored 1mm over 8.5:1 wisecos, eagle rods, drag mani and i/c 2 1/4 and 2 1/2" i/c pipe, 2.5" dp with 3 " exhaust, hondata, walbro pump 800cc inj t3/60-1 turbo not sure of the a/r because someone said it was .63 but the compressore says .50...
went to the dyno to tune... i thought i would make more but i only made like 285-290whp (depending on whether it was back to back runs or it was cool) @ 1.1bar
thats what the hondata was reading my boost gauge was reading to like 18 or 19psi.
a/f was at about 10.8 to 11.5
REAL conservative timing
i was thingking id break 300 easily. does the compression change that much in power gain per psi. would more aggressive timing help?
another weird thing is my turbo use to sound like just air rushing in not it sounds like an 18 wheeler turbo a real loud whistle whine... why?

youre running fat rich.....thats why you arent breaking 300....
at 7 psi, im running a 12.6:1 CR i believe. broke 300 at 307whp. 11 psi is running at 13:1 i believe, and is making 347 whp.
the leaner it is, the more power it makes, until it blows.

yeah i know its a lil rich but my tuner wanted it that was so it can be safe for everyday driving... but leaning it out a lil more would yile that much more power?
i can see my muffler blow out black smoke when i drive as the rpms climb

Huh?
Your compression ratio of the pistons does not increase as boost increases.
Cylinder pressure does increase, is that what you were trying to say?
Anyway, to the orignal poster, what is the total ignition timing? Leaning it out to 12:1 will not make that much more power. Probally 10-20hp.
1.1 bar on that turbo seems about right at 300whp. This isn't the big 60-1 right?

Timing's the biggest power killer. Details?
