Default my LSVTEC BUILD!!!

im starting my build already, i got almost all my parts, i wana make around 185-195 all-motor and on nitrous(100shot) i wana be around 260-275 heres a list of what i got

-82mm pr3 pistons
-stock ls rods
-ARP rod bolts
-ARP headstuds
-82mm cometic head gasket
-clevite bearings (main and rod bearings)
-walbro 255lhp fuel pump
-block guard
-AEM tru tim cam gears
-fidanza 10 lbs flywheel
-GSR water pump
-GSR oil pump

im missing a couple parts like the clutch, timming belt, 2.5inch cut out and last but not least my full nitrous kit.

im just a little curious if boring out the sleeves to 82mm will crack if i shoot a 100 shot direct(dyno tunning the car when i have the kit armed). im using a 99 si head stock with b16 exhaust cam and gsr intake cam, im resurfacing it and putting new valve seals. this build is going into a 95 eg hatch.

lmk what u guys think, be open just no HATERS!!!

i would upgrade the rods and pistons. i would run forged pistons atleast when you are running nitrous. also i would do something a little better then stock cams.

I really doubt you'll hit 190whp with stock cams, my ls vtec was had literally everything but a ported head and best it would do on stock gsr cams is about 175whp on a pretty happy dyno.

I doubt a block guard is necessary and may even cause you problems.

I'm doing something very similar too though, so you can check out my build thread if you want, I chose to go with a dry nitrous kit and then add the fuel at the injectors using hondata, I think it should work as well as direct port and be more reliable and easier to deal with and much easier to hide, but that is also because in CA smog is a pita if you have some permanent nitrous

175 dosent sound to bad im really not going for high numbers off the nitrous im going for higher numbers with the nitrous. ima stay stock cams so i dont run into any valve to piston problems or make tunning a mission. just trying to make a good running nitrous set up with out having to go to forged on the internals, if i were to go forged on the internals i would go with a much bigger shot 150-175-200. but keep them comment comming i like to here what ppl have to say

Tthose ls rods are not going to take a shot for long onless you planning on shifting at 6 grand ,if i were you i would invest on a set of rods and pistons and valve springs and retainers.

the rods are shootpeened and my machine shop told me that they'll hold the nitrous. i had a friend that made 294 on high comp lsvtec with a built head and a 100 shot its still runing so i think that ill be fine with 260-270 hp if i make it there

i had the Blox B's in my ITR and i liked them. nice idle, Vtec was loud and pulled hard, especially on the 75 shot.

I would go with forged rods at the very least...Building a motor is expensive, and a few hundred extra is worth it to protect your investment. Tuning will help though. just my $0.02

i was thinking on going 75 now, cuz 82mm on stock sleeves is starting to make the walls very thin, over all should run very good
