i have a core that is 8x30x2, will this support about 16-18 psi? it is off of a ford powerstroke, but cut in half, will this be big enough or should i go back to the junkyard and get one a few inches taller or just do another one 8 inches tall and double them up... what would you suggest?

i don't think it's good for 16 psi with that core
you probably want a thicker core like 3 to 3.5"

but i don't know what size is good enough

but yours just doesn't sound good enough
