Default My freaking turbo is put together wrong!!!

The damn turbo is rotated about 45 degrees too far, and where the turbo is supposed to connect to the IC piping it, instead of going basically straight down, faces backwards into the block. So my qustion is this...what problems would i face if i took the compressor off of the exhaust housing and rotated the turbine one set of bolts? I know it is doable, as that is how it is supposed to be, but would I have to replace any seals or gaskets that I dont currently know about?

Thanks CHris

Both exhaust and intake housings are made to be turned in relation to the bearing housing. Just unbolt them and turn them to where they're needed.

what you need to witch is the same thing i had to do is loosen the bolts on the inside flange of the turbo (should be about 6 or so bolts on a metal flange) and then just rotate it to where you need it then tight it back up

98 accord
t3/t4 turbo/intercooler
port/polished head/valves,springs
cam/JE pistons custom rods
and all the electronics you need

It is called "clocking" the turbo, and everyone here had to do it

Turbonetics/Garrett had no idea which way your piping would sit relative the center housing.

Not all that tight I do not think. I just used an open end wrench and made them "pretty tight". Probably around 20ft-lb
