Default My first build!!

this is my first build, i did about 95% of the work myself. paris at protek helped me out alot. its not 100% complete yet, still on the engine stand, just need to put the tranny back on and install the motor. i had originally boosted my stock GSR motor with 120k miles on it. revhard kit on 5psi made 220whp on a dynojet which was def not enough for me. anyway. this is my new setup:

rc720's
neptune
255 wlabro FP
Fab works equal length manifold
Fab works 3 in DP
Fab works piping kit
garrett t3/60-1 turbo ( .63/.70 )
tial 50 bov
tial 38mm wg
defi boost guage
apexi turbo timer
precison "600hp" fmic
skunk2 IM bored to 68mm
68mm TB

Motor: GSR
81.5mm wiseco 9.7:1 pistons
crower H beam rods
STR block guard
all new OEM bearings

Tranny:
98 GSR tranny with LS 1,2 and 5th gears.

im going to break the motor in without boost. then on with the 20psi setup
heres some pics of the progress i have made so far

gotta love those GSR cams

and a pic of some turbo stuff around the shop ( turbo to the very right is mine, middle is a gt30r, and to the left is a reg t3t4 )

i am shooting for the 400hp on a dynojet, i will be back with updated pics and some dyno numbers really soon

to turbodohcsi for prepping my pistons for me!

Nice man. Let me know how that tranny works out? Whats the advantage of doing those gears in those places?

im putting the LS gears in first and second because they are longer. longer gears=better for boost. i dont want the super long gear ratio of the LS so im keeping 3,4 GSR gears. and 5th LS gear for the highway and keeping the RPM's low. im not sure if i am going to like this or not, but its just an experiment that was offered to me. and it is also a good learning experience. i am lost when it comes to the internals of a tranny, so im hoping to learn a little during the process
