Default My engine keeps trying to overheat

I have a b16 block sleeved by golden eagle, rods and pistons, and a 35r. It keeps trying to overheat, and I dont know why. I am running 2 electric fans and a aluminun radiator. What do you think is causing this to happen, and how can I fix it?

Thank you for your help.

what does "trying to overheat" mean? what coolant temp are you getting? have you bled the system? what type of fans are you using? what happens if you take the bumper off?

answer these questions then we can help you

if you have more coolant then water, or more water then coolant then it could cause it to run a little warm, also id like to know how its running a little hot?

I am running straight water no air in the system, I have a stock a/c fan on one side and a slim fan on the other (not sure what brand) the temp gets around 200 thats when we stop tuning. I havent tried takingthe bumper off.

you need to be using a coolant/water mix like honda blue coolant. water will begin to boil in the block and create air pockets in the cooling system. you also may have a blown head gasket

This is my track car, they ask that I not run coolant because of the clean up. Unless I was told wrong. Please keep the help coming.

Thank you

well first, 200* isn't overheating. thats where factory fans come on, so if you are tuning/idling i dont see that being a problem, if you are under load and getting air to the radiator that may be a bit high.

for tuning i would pull the bumper off and make sure you have a ncie fan blowing at the rad

Redline Water Wetter.Even some water pump lube will help a lot. They help heat transfer from the engine to the water and from the water to the radiator. They will help the aluminum from building up corrosion which blocks heat transfer.Either one is OK at the track. And 200* is not hot.

honda cars should be around 190-210, if it gets pass 230 you should get worry, and cut the car off. Thats what i have heard from my brother who has a Fully built s2k.

I'm super paranoid because my motor is o-ringed so I wont blow a head gasket. I'm not really sure what happens when you overheat a o-ringed motor but I know its not good.

helms says that operating temp is 176*. fans come on at 200* id consider over 210 overheating, even if it isnt dnagerous there is no reason the car should be getting hotter than that. my hondata throws a CEL at 220* and id shut the car down at that temp.
