Are my EGT's high?
haha rtype11...yup, preludes suck...lol...liam if i richen the mixture, from 10.0:1 to 11.0:1 my car runs like ****...car boggs and hesitates...i have the FJO wideband O2 controller and O2 and it is currently running 11.5:1 from 5500-7500 and runs like a dream...WOT temp now are 900 C with 0 deg/psi on the BTM...cruising temps are 8?? something, i forget...maybe the H22 runs higher temps than the B18 and B16's?

I doubt it, 900C is generally known as "Danger area" on all cars....
Maybe your gauge is out of calibration or something? Try using someone elses EGT gauge and probe.

I cant believe your engine didnt melt already, 1000c??? Thats nuts...I dont think preludes would run any hotter than others cause although beefer it still uses the internals are still made of the same stuff. Where is your EGT probe tapped? The closer to your head the hotter the reading, so someone with the guage tapped at the down pipe should have lower temps that some one tapped on the manifold...hope any of this helps.

Having too much fuel can push up cylinder pressures and increase EGT's too. Sounds to me like the gauge is whacked because at 1900+F, I'd be freaked and my pistons would be too methinks, heh. EV.
