vafc hack screwing with my timing?
I'm running the v-afc hack on my b17 turbo. When I have the base timing set to stock the car hesitates a little between 3500-4500rpm I know this is common when running the hack. I wanted a little magin for safety so I set it back about 3-4 degrees and now it's hesitating at everything between 2500-5500rpm. I'm only running 8psi on 9.7:1 compression so I'm thinking running the stock timing should be o.k. but I've blown motors in the past so I'm a little hesitant to push my luck. If anyone can tell me if they have had reliabiltiy issues with the factory timing settings or what they run for timing I would appreciate it.
when i had my b17 all stock, it did the same thing....I was always told it was from the way vtec is set up...My girls 97 prelude vtec does the same thing(all stock)...But I know exactly what u are talking about..
