Default Is my ecu fried

Well i have been having trouble getting my hondata to read my ecu so i got the chips reburned and same thing led is flashing..So i pluged my stock ecu in and pulled a o2 sensor code, plug in the p28 and get a steady light so 0 which means faulty ecu.I remember when i first got the p28 i hooked it up and turned the key on and it made a funny noise and then i noticed my chip was in backwards....What do you think ???

Solid CEL usually means its fried...cut the J1 jumper, take the chip out and turn the key to the 'ON' position, whats happens?

so i cut j1 jumper...plugeed ecu back in and got a code.So i jumped it and got a code 16 which for obd1 ecu is fuel injectors thats is.So what does this mean i have 550's in there right now is that why its throwing that code? But what is going on with hy hondata and ecu.I have had the chip reburnt already and i had 2 of them burnt so i know it wasnt the chip

So you cut J1 and all you got was a code 16 for the injectors?

Sounds like your ECU is fine. It might be a problem with the soldering )bad connection) or maybe even user error (not burning chip correctly).

I think you should find someone locally that can repair it for you, unless it came that way from Hondata and never worked

yea your ecu is fine. I had that injector code one time, but one of my injector plugs just came loose. Check your connections.

so ur says my stock p28 with no chip or nothing in it shouldnt throw a injector code cyz i have 550's so ur saying that maybe i have a loose connection and it would just throw the code cuz the 550s...No iam not burning my own chips i had the first one burnt thought that was the problem i had an extra one so i send both to be reburned and have the same problem so i doubt it is the chip being burnt wrong

Yeah the injector code could just me a loose connector fluke.

As far as your ECU, it could most likely be the latch (HC373) IC
