i noticed that your IC said "front" on the cardboard prior to install. Does it matter which side goes up front. I didn't pay attention to that when I installed my. Is there is specific front???

Clean install and look though.

dc2jdmhonda: I chose the Drag 3 because of the great price ImportParts had going at the end of last year... couldn't pass it up. The install wasn't bad at all. I don't guess it matters which you choose, Drag or RevHard, either way, you will not be disappointed.

Arturbo: Thanks Art! I've heard that somewhere before. <g>

Drag3GSR: The intercooler came polished, but I worked on it a lil' more... thanks for noticing. I polished the compressor housing to match, not that anyone can see it.

Shinmantis: Thanks for the comps!

dragonsmp: As far as flow is concerned, I don't think there is a specific "front", but I wrote that on there for a reason. The mounting tabs on the top of the intercooler are offset toward one side (the front in this case). I mounted it that way to put the IC toward the radiator to gain as much clearance as possible for the front bumper cover.
Thanks for the thumbs up!

Damn Mick. That is a clean looking car. I am contemplating the DRAG Gen III myself and I wonder, how long did it take you to install? Are you tuning it yourself?

vtec-nut: Big Thanks! I'm not the right person to ask about install times. I always take waaaay too long to do anything. "About 2 months" probably isn't the answer you wanna hear. I have a couple of other vehicles, so I just worked on it when I had extra time. Technically, I'm still workin' on it... gotta install the J&S Safeguard before I'll feel confident enough to start tuning. I'd say the average do it yourselfer could do this install in a weekend if he had: the necessary tools, all the parts ready, and a good idea of what's involved in the install. There are lots of informative sites and pictures available to help... so, do your homework first. I used Dustin's tons of good quality pix as a cheatsheet.
Good luck! I look forward to seeing your pix soon.

There is a difference between the front and back of the DRAG intercooler. The piping is larger on the outlet side, and the mounting tabs are placed specifically to position the IC relative to the bumper / radiator.

Mick- watch that top fitting on theTiAL! It will bang your hood!

I have a nice divet in my hood for finding that out the hard way.

If you still want to use the top-fitting method of the boost controller, replace that tall banjo fitting arrangement with a brass fitting. It's ugly but it wont put a dent in your hood.

Hey Mark,
I'm using that TiAL fitting, but I ground it down to clear the hood. I listened to your advice on that one. <g> Thanks man! BTW, how do I officially get in the Turbo Mafia... you know... with a few pix on the http://www.turbomafia.com page? I've put 210 miles on the car and still don't have the exhaust hooked up! I installed the Thermal 3" friday, but I haven't made the test pipe yet, so there's still a 16" gap between the downpipe and the exhaust. I'm going to do it a little differently than the way I've seen most do it... ie, no flex tube. I'm gonna do it more like the stock header to cat setup, but instead of using a cat, I'm gonna make a resonator to quiet things down a few dBs. Maybe I'll post pix of my setup when I get it made.

I saw that... Thanks Mark (The Real Darth Boost)!
But, I'd like to have a few pix up there with the rest of the Mafia!
Can you make it happen? If not, I'm never gonna install my exhaust.
Take care Mark!

Question... is that the stock Drag Gen 3 intercooler? Also yours sits very level, most of them I see are slightly crooked. How did you do that?

my guess is spearco intercooler as that seems to be the choice when going with drag.

GS-Racer01: Thanks fella!

97blackteg: Are you refering to my intercooler or liam821's? Mine is the stock one from Drag... I think it's a Spearco IC (as SiRkid pointed out). Someone correct me if I'm wrong there. I used a tapemeasure and square and just took a little time laying it out and drilling the holes for proper alignment.

liam821: Thanks, I checked out your pix. For the record, that's the best usage I've ever seen for a Biology book.
