My D series crank holder for bolt stretch on eagles
i made a set to help me build my D series so i can torque my eagle rods with the bolt stretch method, and being easy without the girdle on the way
makes my life alot safer when building my engine once more
this new motor wil have better oiling system on it, to prevent another bearing failure
if anyone wants a set, u can PM me and we can talk

Measuring bolt stretch is supposed to be more accurate than measuring a bolts torque due to friction and what not when you're torquing.
I'm guessing he made this because the girdle is getting in the way of hooking the rod bolt stretch gauge on the top of the rod bolt?

but u dont want it to move neither
and most people like me built it on an engine stand
and being on a engine stand u never get the engine 100% straight flat and upright
its usually on an angle
and u dont want the **** to move or go anywhere

its not over fab
1-its super clean (most important aspect of engine building)
2-no wood chips involved
3-doesnt absorb oil
4-doesnt scratches the surface on the crank
5-lightweight
just nylon CNC machined the right way.... nuttin wrong by doing something right the first time

I think it's a good invention. Does it lock the crankshaft down and keep it from spinning as well, or does it just hold it in like a set of 1 & 5 main caps from a B-series engine would?

it doesnt lock it
it still moves if u turn it
yea it basically moves it around
but i like this material since u can move the crank around and u dont get to scratch the surfaces with a new bearing that doesnt have lubrication, or with an old one that has contamination on it
