Default Is my BOV Broken?

I have a 97 integra LS A couple of months ago when I first finished my Turbo Project I Went to drive it and I had a Blown Turbo (long Story) so I took it off and I had oil residue all in my charge pipe and everywhere. So after I got my turbo rebuilt I put it on and it works great but now my HKS bov deosn't sound like it should well it deon't sound like my friends eclipse who has the same one. Instead of a Wistle its more of a weird chirping sound. and it deosn't even start to chirp until like 6psi before that it just sounds like the blits bov. at first I though that it was because my turbo was aftermaket so it would sounds diferent than stockturbo cars with HKS bov's but than I was thinking that somehow oil got into my bov and jacked it up. So if anyone could give me some advice, or let me know how there integra sounds with a HKS BOV. Thanks sorry this is so long

You answered your own question. Oil has been sucked into your BOV which is causing it to sound differently. I, too, have an HKS SSQV...however the sound of it changes depending on the amount of boost. At 4-10psi -- stock HKS high pitch sound ~ 11psi+ -- two tone lower pitch sound.

Have you tried adjusting that screw and nut on the BOV to see if it makes any difference?
