No BOV sound under no load and revving up to 6k ?
I finally got my turbo setup (almost) done, except I have no downpipe so I figured I would start it and check for leaks, etc and see if my bov was working - so I revved it up to 4, 5, 6k and still no bov sound at all - I hear the turbo spoolin a little bit though.
Now what I am thinking, is this because there is NO LOAD on the car? But then I remember seeing guys rev their cars while parked and I heard the BOV - how is that then...
I do not want to drive it on the street or anywhere with no downpipe because its blowing right on my alternator (without the downpipe) and thats not good even a short drive I think... I will be making the dp this week though!

You probably can't hear the BOV over the open turbo anyway even if you are creating enough load to spool the turbo.
Stock turbo cars can generally do it because of how small the turbo's are.

no load= almost no boost=no bov sound in most cases you ned to be moving ie load to get the valve to function.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, but I thought I would come ask you guys with experience from here - kinda sucks though but its understandable. I really wanted to hear it haha - but guess I will have to get that dp first...
BTW, wanna hear something funny / wierd - everytime I revved the car up and the turbo spooled up, my dog started howling - this dog NEVER howls. LOL my turbo doggy haha . Maybe I should take him for a ride once everything is complete and see what he does then haha.
