here some stuff ive been working on today. after reading a thread on DIY traction bars i thought i would give it a shot. One thing i didn't like about the traction bars ive seen is the ground clearance so i designed mine to come down from the mounting point and back towards the rear of the car a little, keeping very good clearance.

since i made the cross member snug up against the radiator support i had to notch the bar for the lower radiator hose.

Ive got it all mounted up for now with no tie bars yet, that'll be next week.

Heres a pic of John and Gary, "old timers," they help advise when i'm tryign to build ****. John is polishing the valve cover for his Miata. Hes building a tube frame lotus 7 with Maita drive train. hes built if from scratch, it's gonna be an autocross monster this spring. i'll get pics of it later...

i'll update as i go...

Nice Sol. I have a question, I'm considering buying a turbo from down2turbo, how's your turbo holding up, any problem at all? I've read that a oil restrictor is needed to keep the turbo from blowing, did you use an oil restrictor? Thanks in advance.

mines been holding up great, although ive only got about no more than 500 miles on it so far b/c of the weather. There are a lot of people who have ran down2turbo turbos and have had great success with them... then again, theres always the one or two that don't have such good luck. but its ebay... so , buy at your own risk.

ive heard some say that you don't need to run a restrictor on the new T3s but i went ahead and used one anyway.

happy boosting!

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to use a restrictor then, it's cheap insurance.
