Default MSD IGNITION QUESTION

Hey, i was just wondering... which coil is better... the MSD SS or the MSD Blaster 3??? Anyone know.. it would really help!!! Thanks!

None, run an oem coil.

Depends on how much power you are wanting to make. When sending spark to the plug the coil is only half the equation. The coil gets its energy from the ignition box. Maybe we should start with how much power you are going to make? Is this a street car or race car?

street. Its my daily driver, gonna be goin to track about once a month. My goal is 300WHP.

keep oem no need to upgrade for 300whp .. at all

i know, i have it anyways so might as well use it....Blaster SS is better then Blaster 3 right?

You might as well sell it...

Just stick with OEM for your power goal. No need to complicate things.

I had it in my H22 prelude when it wasnt even turbo'd and i had no problems, and it actually made it run alot better and had great throttle response, compared to OEM... it was much better... i dont see why not use it.. you really think i shouldnt??

i have a msd 6al box and a blaster 2 coil from when i used it.. yah car felt like it idled better but on the dyno when we took it off and used oem it jumped up 50WHP ... i cant get rid of the damn **** .. ill sell you the msd box for cheap

er... damn that sucks... i just purchased the whole setup for like 300$, MSD distributor, box, spark plug wires, coil, etc. So you guys really think i should just stick to OEM?

MSD coils are alright quality. Most are about as good as the OEM Honduh coil, and relocating the coil outside of the hot distributor enclosure seems to help with coil life.

MSD ignition boxes suck.

MSD plug wires are completely stupid.
