Don't get either.
I just removed mine because of misfire issues. As soon as I removed it, misfires went away.

I've heard a lot of people with issues with there msd. just curious, what is recommended? to my knowledge, the stock ignition is only good to a little over 200hp.

lots of people are making alot higher on stock ignition?

i guess it depends on the setup/tune/luck of the draw!

you've heard otherwise? in what terms? that msd is junk, or stock can handle a lot more power? the only reason I threw it out there is because at some point there is a limitation of the stock ignition system and at that point, what are you suppose to turn to if msd has problems on Hondas?

Ditch the distributor and got to a crank triggered ignition and a standalone.

There are plenty of people making big power on stock ignitions but if want to go the msd route than it doesn't matter which one you use.Because like was said before they are the same electronics. The sci is just repackaged for the import crowd.

why does msd cause so much problems? when its supposed to be one of the best on the market, i know top pros use it for track or even street cars, how many of you are having problems? i have been thinking about getting the box and coil and the 2 step modual, i had 2 step on my hondata but for some reason it was ******* my **** up, so i took it all off, need another source for 2 step and it seems like msd is the only way, unless there is another igniton system that similar and around same price range.

Tired of the MSD crap. Yeah we were too that is why we offer M&w igntions. You dont have to run the honda ignitor anymore either with it. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1715779
