Hey all of a sudden my MPG went from like 300 miles /tank to around 220. What affect MPG more, engine load or engine rpm? Any ideas? Thanks

 

Check spark plugs, and engine load effects the MPG more than the engine rpm.

 

thats a tough call, but load would prob do it as long as rpm is'nt high.

I find i get the best highway mileage while driving at 3500RPM (around 117km/hr) and shifting at 3k. then again, this is only for best mileage (Have a GSR)

What really brought my MPG up, is changing the air filter, or cleaning it with compressed air, it might have gotten clogged if it's a "sudden" change.

For more general changes, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor really make a big difference.

haha, that's where i was as well lol

 

I have an idea... go drive a dodge dakota V8 to the gas station... spend 30 bucks to fill up the tank. Drive it home, then drive it straight back to the gas station just so you can spend another 30 bucks...

Trust me, you'll never worry about gas mileage from a honda again
