Motor is using water
a little update: I got my head back from the machine shop and everything checked out perfect on the head. But he did notice, what appears to be the piston hitting the head:



I wasn't able to check the block with a bridge and dial. I used a straight edge though, which ended up being more of a pain in the *** than anything. I bought a cometic .051 84mm headgasket to give some clearance.
I have a question... Could I trim out the chamber on the cylinder head to match up to the 84mm bore of the block? Would that help at all? thanks

Are there copper rings at the top of your sleeves? I think I remember my GE sleeved block coming with small copper "o-rings" around the sleeves. You should check and see if you have those (or if you're supposed to have them) and if they are in good shape.
