had the car for two years... been turboed for a year and a half... motor has nearing 70,000 miles, and been to the majority of the drags in 2004, (2 days out of each month) done well over 50 runs down the track... maintenance will do the car good! hehe
o yea, everything is stock...

It allows you to run more boost/timing/compression on pump gas, it's like adding more octane to your motor. Not the best for a turbo setup IMHO. At low boost you want to inject less propane than at higher boost, but nobody makes an adjustable on the fly propane system. Alcohol is much nicer for a turbo IMHO.

that's where I would stay for stock motor
... for long last
on my D16Z6 I expect to stay at about 160 WHP (will finish instalation tomorrow)... may go up to 185, but no more that 200 for sure

The D16Z6 motor stock cant handle no more that 7-8 psi. Go any higher than that then it will blow a head gasket or a ring. Have to remember that its a single cam and the iternals are alot smaller and weaker. The d16z6 is more based of economy drivability
i know that propane has got a high octane level but because of another burning rate and a hotter burn it doesnt do anything. or do you inj. it liquid?
btw i live in holland. alot of cars drive on pure propane in holland cause of the high fuel prices. it even wracks stock engines! and my teacher used to work as a propane systom developer and he used to work with a racingteam that wanted to try propane for its high octane level. no power gains and they couldnt advance timing with 1degree over 98octane fuel.
let me know if you got any more info on this.
