Tried to do some searching but I havent got a definate answer. I have a moroso pan with the kicked out sump. The person I bought it from said that my stock LS pick up will do fine with it but I was wondering if it was neccessary to buy the aftermarket pickup from moroso? Thanks

I installed a Moroso 5 qrt pan on my B18 using the stock pickup. I have not heard of a Moroso pan requiring a special pickup before.

Awesome i guess i was just a bit paranoid. Will the stock dip stick also function accurately? Are you guys putting exactly 5 qts oil into the engine or 5.5?

i use the stock pickup with my moroso too no problems just run the stock one and save money unless your pickup is bad then switch it out. and on my set up i use a stock dip stick and have no problems cant answer the fill question due to having a filter relocater and cooler

For some reason I thought you need to run their pickup with their Aluminum pan but not with the steel pan, I cant remember though....... why would they sell it if you dont need it at all?

how long have u been running with ur moroso for? Do you have a oil pressure gauge?

Been on the car for a few years but I hardly ever drive it, oil pressure is 90-100 at wot.... 25-30 at idle.

good luck with that...Moroso has dicontinued the pans

summit still has the pans if moroso has them in the warehouse they will still sell them and if your going to get one get the steel one the aluminum ones leak like crazy if they hit anything or not tightened perfectly

i love my aluminum moroso pan it holds 6qt and needs morosos pickup also the steel pans hold 5qt and you use stock pickup
