Default Moroso Oil Pan???

Hey people i was wondering if a moroso pan will be hanging lower then a stock pan. The reason i ask is because the car will be lowered and I just wanted to make sure it will not scrape before i do end up buying one???

You'll probably only get one chance and then it's done once you do scrape. Atleast with an oem pan you can get away it to an extent, but the aluminum moroso won't be as forgiving.

IMO, for daily use on a lowered car, stick with stock.

Good point, and for the price...yikes, it would suck to smash that.

I ran the Moroso oil pan in my eg with a B18c swap for two years on the street with no problems. My downpipe hit before the oil pan would. I never hit the oil pan. The car was driven in Germany for a year, then accross the US and around El Paso TX for another year, and the roads there SUCK.

Yeah but all it takes in one time and the pan will be done for. Also, who knows how low this guys (streetaccord) car is. I just think it's too risky for a daily driven street car, if that's what he has.

My canton oil pan, which is a 5 quart pan, is no lower then stock. they just welded outward, and put in some trap doors. So, like it was stated earlier my downpipe is lower then my pan. And, some stock honda pans are aluminum too.

The new Moroso pans are steel, and they are no lower than a stock pan, they just have a kickout on the back and gated baffles. Here's some pics of my Moroso road race pan:

I have the steel pan as well. Nice piece, seems like it could take a beating and survive...but as has been said, DP will save it.

Not to threadjack, but I see no reason to make a new thread about one quick question. For those of you already using the pan, are you using the oil temp sensor? Did you have to ground the sensor or is it grounded through the pan? I would think it would ground through the pan, but you never know. TIA

Bounced my Moroso panned Hatch/H22 off a chunk of concrete in the middle of the road. Dropped the pan and pounded it out. Hard hit, dented the pan, but no cracks.

I think the new pan design allows more clearance than the stock pan, I am using one
