Default More Turbo Theory: Will a 2.0 spool signifigantly faster than a 1.8 block?

All things being equal, will the added displacement of boring a block out to 2.0 Liters offset the drop in compression. How much sooner would boost come (in rpms) as opposed to a comparable 1.8L block?

If its not signigant i suppose I'll be like everyone else and run 1.8

it will spool faster, how much though is dependant upon many things...

Understood, by negating all the variables from my question, i was hoping to get a simple yes/no/1krpm sooner type answer. Just wondering if its worth the trouble.

it will make more torque, but also significantly up the fuel requirements as well.

And my final thought: Given that I have roughly a ten percent gain in displacement, that should equate to a similar increase in exhaust gases? Thus making the turbo spool a bit faster? I knew i should have taken thermodynamics

also depends on the compression ratio...

Yes, you'd see roughly the same increase in exhaust gases.

Been wondering about this myself.

Can anyone recomend for or against doing this? What are the pros and cons? I was considering the same thing. How much trouble am I looking at down the road? Bigger injectors? Fuel Pump upgrade a must? any trouble dyno tuning ? If the buildup will be for a daily driver? Also what sorta costs are involved in this?

Thanks,
Noel
