Default More information about this car/setup

I found this lovely car on Jeff Evans website. I am aiming for the exact same power curve with a stock block JDM GSR.
See link: http://www.evans-tuning.com/dynos/20...-hondata-s300/

If anyone knows more about this car I would be interested in knowing...

1)What manifold is being used?
2)What is the exact size of the turbo's hot side. 0.62 or 0.82 a/r?
3)Exhaust set up and muffler, any resonators?
4)Would like to see the bend and set up of the downpipe / WG dumptube
5)Was a boost controller used?

Would also like to see some videos of this car on the street or at the track.

This is a perfect example of what a daily driven turbo Honda/acura setup should be like. Quick spooling, with a usable power band and quality parts that will last a while, with minimal maintenance.

That was the GT28 Journal bearing. It was a .63A/R, it was almost maxxed out, and as I've said, Evan's dyno for hondas reads a little high.

A dynapak reads what it reads. It has all the proper compensations for an accurate reading. Temp, altitude, humidity don't matter that much as it's compensated for in the dyno. It's great for doing back to back testing on different days. Does it read higher than a Mainline or a Dyno Dynamics, yes, but then again almost all do. That's why we call the Mainline "the heartbreaker". lol

It's a log manifold of some sort. Either an Inline Pro cast or a fabricated log type.

Unless there's a complete build sheet on the dyno sheet/in the forum thread we can't really help you.

We can't look at a dyno sheet, even knowing it's a stock block GSR motor, and tell you everything about the setup.

Jeff is good about keeping a complete build sheet on the motor as well as notes on the setup and a copy of the tunes he does for each vehicle that comes through his shop.

he normally has a "file" on each car because I remember "back in the day" that he was comparing dyno graphs of similar setups to quantify the differences of a similar motor with slight part and tune variations.

so you need to contact Jeff, assuming he still has the info on that particular setup and if the owner has allowed Jeff to release details and if Jeff is willing to do so

I'm perfectly aware of that. We use nothing but "hearbreakers" in my region. However, over the years we compared vehicle and tuning sets, it always seems that the Subarus that Jeff tunes seem exactly spot on with all the "heartbreaking" goodness of the SAE corrected parameters you listed. However, when it came to the FWD and Honda applications, whenever it came to those readings, they were horribly inconsistent.

So, yes, I understand what specific parameters are involved, its just with his charts over the years, I can trust his Subaru and Evolution graphs to a "T", just not the Honda ones. Not sure if he's entering in certain data for Hondas that may skew the results, or some other unknown factor, but it doesn't affect his AWD resultant data.
