Default more direct port questions

my ultimate goal is a 100 shot direct port nitrous setup
here is what i am going to try....
Zex brain > NOS distribution block > 4 "Fan" nozzles (each with 25 shot jet)
will this work safely...fuel wise?
i have a Walbro 255 high output pump, B&M FPR, GSR injectors
i realize that it will be a "Dry" setup but i was told by a Zex rep that i would need to add a smaller fuel jet in order to accommodate the 100 shot. So i figure that the brain will add the necessary fuel in order to make this 100 shot dry kit safe.

Am I an idiot or will this setup be ok?

Your an idiot .
I dunno where to start, direct port isnt considered a dry kit, the ZEX purple box and the NOS direct port wont work together. If im not mistaken, the purple box can only suplie up to a 75 shot. Just do it the right way, sell your Zex kit and buy a NOS DP system. I hope you arent planning to run that shot on stock internals, that will last all of one time and boom

it will be a custom dry direct port, however it might be considered wet (in some sort of twisted way) because the box adds the extra fuel needed through the stock injectors.
the only NOS parts i will use are the fan nozzles and distribution block. i am not using the NOS solenoids.
i was told that you can use the Zex purple box for up to a 200 shot, you just need to go with a smaller fuel jet.

no, it is Eagle and JE equipped

i will be using a #22 NOS jet in each nozzle
and a #28 or #32 NX fuel jet in the Zex brain

Anybody else have comments?

how will it run lean if its jetted right?
your comment doesnt make sense to me . if you melted a piston from running lean , then it wasnt tuned right obviously.
does anyone else agree with what im saying?
the ncie part of direct port is the idea of changing nitrous and fuel to each cylinder if needed and making sure they get the amounts they need.

trust me man , Not only myself, but many other people i know have been running 100+ on their cars for a long long time.
its all in tuning and common sence

is was my falt why it happin my fuel reg broke and the fuel psi when down to 20psi and got stuck i ran 60psi every day all motor with a fully bulit ls/vtec so thats why it ran so lean

for this guy to get this to work he would have to run over 85+psi in the fuel rail while sparying and the tuning got to be on key if not u can blow it trying to tune it

for his case maybe becuiase he's 1/2 assing it .
I know my set up is direct port and jetted for 100 shot right now . and i am running like 52 psi constant . with and without spray . I have no problems , nor have i with any of my size shots or kits on this car. its been sprayed on for about 2 years now , on 3 diff types of kits.

so are you saying it is not possible? will the rail not support 85+ psi?
i maybe 1/2 assing it but i just thought that i would try it.
i will rejet the zex box to support a 100 shot, i have a Walbro 255 high output pump, and if need be i have a set of dsm 450 injectors.
i am not going to push it all at once...there will be tuning.
if it will not work, then it will not work i will do a normal kit.

it will work (maybe) but my question is why? if you have the distrubtion block and nozzels from nos thats the hardest and most expansive part. all you need after that is 2 solinoids and know how to wire it, which me or anyone else will be glad to explain. you could probly sell the brain for more then the solonoids, which cost ~$75 each.

ive been designing my own custom n2o kits for over a year now, and hadnt had a prob yet, just make sure you got the fuel right!

there is no good reason, i just want to try it
if i see that there is any problems, i will pull it off and get a real NOS kit

honestly, i did not know it would be that easy. why do their kits sell for $600 if i could piece one together for about $300?
i will definately be watching fuel.
i have talked to Zex a couple of times and they did not say it was a bad idea. in fact, their drag crx is runnin a 125 dry shot. i just need to change out the fuel jet in the brain.

thanks for the support

they sell them for 600 to make money on people, i pieced together my first kit for ~200. pluse you already have a bottle and lines and jets and nozzles and dist. block, so buying the kit would be a waste...but eathier way you go, good luck. tell us what you decide and let us know hoew it works out.
