money is running rough SO
i have a 96 hatch DX 5 speed.
first do they even sell a turbo kit for the non vtec D16y7?
all i hear is the Vtec versions of the D series but do they make a kit for the non Vtec?
and if so what kid of times could i get out of the stock motor it has 60000 miles and runs great.
also i know if i do the turbo i will get the hondata and upgraded clutch and flywheel.
and then whatever else goes along witht he turbo kit exhaust system all that i will do but i am just wondering if i can even get a kit for the motor if not i will just go for a swap but i just wanted to stay turbo for awhile.
and basically i am looking for everything internally stock for awhile? and hoping for like mid 14's maybe low 14's that would be really cool but i don't know how likely with a non vtec SOHC thats why i am asking yall so.
is it possible?

Re: money is running rough SO (whitemike1644)
This is a quote from another thread. My guess is he worked on the internals a bit. IM him and ask. Name is "jjgotboost"
yes i had a cx motor turbocharge before and my best time on that motor was 12.5 at 112 mph with 1.1 bar.
now i got b20 and the best time so far was 13.2 at 98 mph with .46 bar.
i will always recommend to turbocharge a sohc motor for street use. it's practical and cost efficent than an engine swap.
