Default monetary dilemna.....which to get first????

ok, here a simple but troubling problem for me. being a poor college student i can't afford the two parts i am looking at buying right now. choice one is the jimfab traction bar. elminate wheel hop and hopefully get better ETs and extend the life of my axles. choice two is a completely new exhaust. 2.5 mandrel bent with 2.5 carsound cat and es oval for my boosted sohc. get some more power and hopefully spool up a lil quicker. both prices and close enough that i haven't been able to choose on over the other. some suggestions? thanks

first i would ask what is your current setup right now?
powerwise, how much power are you making, are you losing traction a lot?
how much psi are you pushing?

around 6-7 psi right now. hopefully 8 soon. sohc vtec w/greddy kit, walbro 255 hi pressure pump, rc 310s, aem fpr, colder plugs, hallman mbc, dsm smic, dsm 1g bov, h&r sports, kyb agx, rota subzeros wrapped in pirelli p700Z. traction isn't terrible as long as i dont launch too hard. otherwise i can easily spin 1st to beginning to 2nd with some major wheelhop sometimes. i can get a good launch with minimal hop as long as i dont launch too high.

Yea I have the same problem spinning at the top of first, but it's not too bad. I say do exhaust first; the 3" piping.

i know i have talked to you in PM pengo, but i think that i have read before where a 2.5 inch downpipe on the greddy SOHC kit lead to boost spiking. (not a good thing on a SOHC, or anyengine for that matter.)

anythoughts on this?

i have heard before about some other greddy turbos spiking with upgraded dp and 3" exhaust but i dont think i've seen any posts will sohc kits yet. i'll look around tho.

EDIT: ok after doing an intense amount of searching the only setup i saw that had boost creep after upgrading the dp was running an upgraded dp to full 3" exhaust system w/out IC. other systems such as 2.5 to 2.25, 2.5 to 2.5 with intercooler etc didnt seem to have any problems with boost creep. i plan to run full 2.5 from dp to muffler so hopefully i won't experience any problems.
