Default MISSION: 20psi SOHC daily driver

Ok like the topic says... what do i need? I know i need this:

Kick *** Eagle rods
Je Low Comp Pistons what comp?
Crower stage 2 turbo cam
ferrea valves
titanium retainers, springs??

Headwork: pnp, portmatch
skunk2 intake manifold

Block... sleeved? That sounds expensive how much would getting the blkock darton sleeved run?

Any help would be great, got the engine out of the car and ready to build, just need the right advice. Basically I want to drive it around at like 8-10psi daily and then push 20psi for races. I want the bottom end to be almost bullet-proof.

HELP
THANKS
Dan

You can run 8-10 psi on a stock D series block ( I have for months and months). I would suggest getting the block sleeved for anything over 15 psi or so. I think you should pick a HP goal rather than a PSI goal.

Sleeving is expensive. I'd put at least 3k aside for a complete build. And you still haven't answered why you picked a Psi benchmark and not a hp benchmark.

so will anything like 400+ whp and 400+ whp is more definate amount of power than a psi level...

you could be running 20 psi on the smallest of turbos and not be making 400+ whp ...

HP goal

That is not a sure thing. If your engine doesn't explode on launch (hopefully it is built and tuned right), you still would have a major traction problem. You may have enough power to move like a bat outta hell, but it won't go anywhere as long as you're just spinning your wheels. Just another factor to consider.

Oh, one other thing, if you have to ask if any one thing (sleeving) is expensive, I wouldn't even bother trying this. Getting 20psi to work on any Honda engine is no simple (or cheap) task, getting a d16 to handle is going to take money and know how.

yeah, make sure you research what type of turbo setup you want to run and set a power goal. I knew a guy that only made 301whp on a straight t3 on an LS block at 18.5psi. My turbo for my LS makes 420 at 15-16psi. Find something that is more efficient for your goals, just don't over do it

not true, you can but a tinny *** turbo on there and at 20psi you will be getting no more power then at say 10 or something.

you need to do some research, i know iknow i always say this but this kind of info is all of the place

20psi on a d-series and 10psi daily?? ***** just do 20psi daily.

follow these links and buy these parts bling bling:

20psi daily....wow....u must have some type of tire sponsor, smoking some nexx or u meant 20psi on a t2small (it would be out its efficency range anyways)..not saying its impossible...but u gotta remember u are going to have a boost controller and to be moderate on the streets saving tires, not spinning when it rains and stuff...u might wanna turn it down a bit....u are not going to be racing all the time

yep, that I do and the setup I put forth in my post above will be nice and efficient at 20psi daily.

and you do realize that just because it's 20psi daily doesn't mean that everytime you press the gas pedal to go forward that you'll be hitting 20psi right? I mean come on man....some of you people have a total misconception of "max daily psi".

lol, it's not like I posted all that **** and then said use a TE04H turbo hahahahaha but we can always do that and have you sit on the hood of the car at 70mph with a hairdryer cap on so we can blow your hair with that wonderful amount of hot air
