Mishimoto OIL COOLER TRACK DATA?
Hey Guys any one have data on Oil Temps, engine temps and oil pressure data while track running a Mishimoto OIL COOLER (Universal 10 row)?
I have a b16b on JRSC on 5 LBS Boost. The Charger makes things hot so I installed the Oil Cooler Kit but I haven't had a chance to track test it and get data.
Any experience and data for this Oil cooler under stress would be great

The charger gets hot and in turn heats up the motor. When I dyno'ed the car we did 5 passes then had to stop and wait because the AIT got hot (165F). The Oil Temp was also increasing due to the heat coming from the charger but I don't remember the numbers on it. I just worry about it due to the fact that the car is a RR car and not a drag car.

i would be more concerned with ait rather than oil temp. unless your road racing it, id be concerned with both.

Right, I am road racing it, its a time attack car. I think the Oil Cooler will take care of most of the engine heat soak created by the charger. I was thinking about a water, ethanol injection kit to take care of the AIT heat.

the oil cooler isnt gona take care of any heat generated by the supercharger, 165f isnt too bad for the JRSC, on 95 degree days last year i was seeing 210 degrees @ 8psi. One of the biggest things you can do is make sure your exhaust breaths well, that helps reduce the pressure in the manifold by alot, i dropped 30 degrees and 2psi by opening up my exhaust alot. Methanol injection is a sure fire way to drop those temps very easily, currently running a 2gph nozzle right now, and i see 160's after constant running, probably gona be looking at a 3 or 4gph nozzle. A bigger radiator, lower temp thermostat, and big *** cooling fans go along way to suck heatsoak out of the engine. Also, cutting the gasket along the back of the hood against the cowl in the center area behind where the supercharger is will help vent some air out past the hood at speed.
