Mild engine buildup - Need component suggestions
What are some recommended brands for these? I don't need the best, but I want best bang for the buck and ones that has been proven reliable by you guys.
1. Forged Pistons 9.0 cr
2. Connecting Rods
3. Rod bearings
4. Main bearings
Where should I get them from? what about buying used, is it ok?

Pistons - JE/SRP
Rods - Eagle, Crower Econo
Bearins - Honda
These are best for your buck, unless you are going all out. The bearings just go with honda they are the best you can get, but pricey, about $10 per rod/main.
Don't buy used get new, you can get them from anywhere, doesn't make a difference.

Personally, CP pistons and Manley or Pauter rods have been 100% flawless on my personal car and a bunch of customer cars.

This is a huge topic for debate on H-T. IMO, if they will clearance out right, the go with ACLs, otherwise you must use OEM bearings to attain proper clearances.
