On a FI car, there isn't any real need to rev beyond 9000rpm. And keep in mind the higher you rev the more stress there will be..which means more problems and more money. I am gonna upgrade my valve springs and retainers very soon, but I'm still only gonna rev to 7k. I'm only upgrading my head in case i misshift at the track..or for the dyno to see how well my turbo flows.

Put it on the dyno and see where it stops making or starts losing power. That is how high you rev too.

i know people power over 9k or so on the track so they rev to to 9.5k... it has a lot to do with if u are still making power though

RPM = Ruins Peoples Motors. I would say no need to rev past 9k. You know, they say that the internals of a super high reving (10-11k) N/A motor see's far more stress (pistons and rods included) then a high boost (more then 12psi) motor due to the speed of the moving parts making more stress then the explosiveness if boost. Just something to think about.

i rev over 12k in the race motor but ofcourse thats where all the pwr is. if you check on the dyno i will pull hp from 6k rpm - 10k rpm and per the graph it seems to still pull after that. Really the safe way to rev a turbo motor is to make sure you have the valve springs and retainers all checked out. Make sure they are high quality and made for boosting.
