list your goals/setup and we can tell you...either is capable of well over 600+whp and with this many posts I bet it's just a pipe dream for now .

Actually, I'm currently having my motor rebuilt at the moment.

My setup consists of:

AEBS sleeves
Eagle H-beam rods
JE 9:0:1 87mm pistons
Crower turbo cams
SuperTech black nitride valves
SuperTech dual valve springs
SuperTech titanium retainers
Cometic head gasket
Skunk 2 intake manifold
RC 750cc injectors

and etc.

I'd like to shoot for 500+whp.

I just wanted to know what people had thought about them on their setups.

my setup list is a lil outdated. things change, and i need to buy new parts.

instead of straying away from the topic, how about you tell me what your opinion was towards either turbo. thats all i had originally asked for.

damn.. excuse me for tryin to help..

as for your question:

gt35r
sc61
t3/t67
gts61
gt61s
etc....

there's so many turbo's to choose from that have proven themselves to make that 500whp goal. it all depends on what kinda powerband u want and spool up time.

You've probably been looking at the SC61 with the T04E compressor housing which is a little cheaper then the SC61 with the T04S housing. If I were in your place I would upgrade to the larger T04S housing. But that will run you another $60-$80. Then you have to factor in shipping and sales tax. The 60-1 and 62-1 are cheaper alternatives and they can make your powre goals, but I hear you'll be maxing the turbo out. The T3/T61 is another option you have and it is about a hundred bucks cheaper then the SC61. The T61 also uses the GT35R compressor wheel just like the SC61. I think that the T04S and 270 degree thrust bearing come standard with the T61 (360* thrust bearing optional) , but for the SC61 the T04S is optional and the 360 degree thrust bearing is standard. You'll have to check with whoever you are buying it from.
