Have you ever even used master power stuff? Can you give a reason for giving them thumbs down.

IMO Master Power stuff is quality, just as good if not better than turbonetics. My brother has 2 MP 62-1's on his Camaro and he's put over 15 thousand street and drag strip miles on them and they're performing great, and my Dad has been running a MP T70 on his daily driven T-type for almost a year now without issue, and he's boosting 26 pounds daily.

What your trying to say is that your whole family drives slow rides with no boost at all? who is faster, Maro Vs. T-type?

I have a 57 trim sitting right here waiting to go in. I got a pretty decent deal on it. I have the upgraded 360 degree bearings for it. From what I've heard people say (I asked the same question when this thing showed up in my mail box) is that the ones you WANT to get are the ones from Brazil. There's another half of Master Power that comes from Taiwan or some place like that. Those supposedly are ****. Do a search on here for archived stuff. There were a few threads covering these turbos when I was looking for info on them.

Camaro, just a bit Best pass in the T-type was something in the low 11's @ 125 on 15" nittos with pump gas and an alkycontrol meth kit. I think 11.2's but don't quote me on that. The camaro is a 1970, motor is a 4-bolt 350 block bored .030 over, eagle 3.75" crank, eagle rods, JE pistons, ported AFR heads, and a blow-thru CSU prepped 750 holley on a vic jr. Best pass so far has been 9.83 @ 144 on low-ish boost/drag radials.

my understanding is that the exhaust and compressor housings that come from brazil are suppose to be alot better, i bought mine from srt-4 off the board...kinda pissed me off because he advertised it as a brand new in the box garret t3/t4e. I got the t3/t04e 57 trim .48 ar with the 360 degree race bearing as well. here is a link to the website for anyone that is interested. http://www.partsexpressonline....e.htm

my only complaints about the turbo so far is that it didnt come with a vacuum port on the compressor housing for my boost controller, the compressor and exhaust housings look like they could use some porting to smooth things out. All in all i cant complain though, spool rather nicely...i start getting boost at 3k on my stock d15b. It seems really loud compared to my friends precision sc61.... at the slightest touch of the gas it just starts whistling like crazy...i love it haha

No ****?? Me too. I was sending him PM's because I was supposed to be getting a garrett too. He said the same **** to me. Upgraded bearing..blah blah blah. I open the box up and I'm like "Master Power, WTF?!" I thought they were to the turbo world what sparkomatic is to stereos and APC to the fix'er upper world. But I did some looking around and I guess they're not all bad. Comparable to the garretts. I'm still waiting on my exhaust flange from him. HINT HINT Scott!!!!! After I get that I'll be ready to put this thing in and have some fun.

The fins supposed to be "knife-edged"

The housings supposed to show casting flash...

Just prime it and make sure you feed it oil and evacuate the oil from it effieciently...

But there's also the ones that come from Taiwan or whatever. Supposedly they're not all that great. Not sure why, that's just what I was told.

Master power is very quality stuff. I'm running a MP T-70 with a turbonetics 96 ar housing on my mustang and even on 6 psi (which is stupid low for my combo) the car hauls on the street.

Master power turbos are made in Brazil...I don't know where this Taiwan stuff is coming from. Some places on ebay are fond of taking the master power turbos and putting crap internals and selling them. MP always marks their wheels. You just need to make sure to get the turbos from a reputable and authorized Master power dealer.

here is their website

http://www.masterpower.com.br

You can see they are a full fledge turbo manufacturer and build a lot of turbos for diesel applications. Their performance stuff is limited but you can still get T3/T4s,60-1,62-1,and the 70mm turbos for awesome prices.

I got my turbo from http://www.boostedsystems.com

Also you can check out http://www.forcedinductions.com

The turbos come with a 1 year warranty as well.

the only experience i have had with master power is that they sent us some info asking us to be distributors, and they sent a sample turbo to us with the info. The sample turbo was of pretty low quality, the castings were a poor quality sand casting, and the wheels were a bit rough, the fins were just not smooth. It is entirely possible that they sent us a non-finished unit for demo purposes only, but based on what we saw, i would not sell those turbos. FWIW they told us they are made in china.

regardless if anyone has good luck with one, get some pics and more info. a 300$ turbo does raise some suspicions of course.

well not really sure what your saw or who you talked to but the real master power turbos are all made in Brazil. Their factory is there and thats the only place you can get them.

None of their turbos are $300 either. My T70 was $600 and the 60-1/62-1 are aroun 550 or so. The t3/t4 line of turbos around 470 ish. Like i said you saw some cheap chinese junk not a true MP manufactured turbo.

i cant remember the name of the distributor but i know they were from florida. also what the ebay sellers call a t70 seems to me to just be a .70 a/r compressor housing. i dont know how that became a t70

Did you measure the compressor wheel?

The master power T70s use an actual 70mm compressor wheel (2.72 ind/3.85 exd) and a p-trim turbine wheel. The a/r of the compressor cover is 70 ar which is specially machined To4e cover with a 4 inch inlet.

If you ever look at those Stone racing or SSautochrome "T70s" they are actuall a 61 mm wheel. Maybe thats what you saw. They are fond of using master power housings.
