map wire 4.6v? help

Default map wire 4.6v? help

the signal wire going to my ecu when the map is unplugged is still reading 4.6v that's not right is it? the odd part is i am throwing a code 14 the idle air control valve code and i never had a problem with it till now

hey, i was the one asking about the map reading 4.9v. yes i am sure i got it wired right. i even cut the wire 5 in. from the ecu and it still reads 4.0-4.4v. what could it be?

Bump for my boy. I couldnt figure it out either. I know it doesnt have anything to do with the injectors thats on a completely different circuit.

maybe your checking the wrong wire, if you are still getting voltage from an INPUT than you have noise in your computer or your testing the wrong wire.

it is not the worng wire. and where would the noise be coming from?

Hey chris are you getting 4.6 V from D19?

D17 Signal wire
D19 5v power
D21 Ground

with D17,D19,D21 cut about 6 in. fromthe ecu i get 4.7v on D17, 4.9v on D19

I went and measured my stock voltage its.

Power 5v
Signal 0.01v
Ground. 0.00

maybe your plugs got switch between iacv and map. not sure if there the same though

nope he didnt ive seen the car and i wired up the map sensor correctly. car ran perfect in stock trim. then i did the map sensor for him and he's had nothing but problems with it. everything is done correctly.

went on up to the whip factory and we got everything going. it was because the dead end lead was up off
