not to thread jack but why is it when you install a bigger map sensor you alter the timing and need a tune immediately? Does it have to do with voltage going to the larger MAP?
cause the map sensors dont read the same voltages. So it will throw off what part of the timing/fuel map that the car is using and at that point u may be runnning WAY too much timing/too lean an blow it up quick

You know you could have done much better with something like an MSD timing retard box - ironicly part of my current avatar... If your EMS can't sense boost, any "boost" abilities it has is just straight-up fail in a can. I hate to seem ungentleman-like, but sugar-coating the bad truth would be a dis-service to you.
FMU's are okay when you can adjust them on a dyno with a small turbo or supercharged car running low boost. If you're about to get it tuned with a "proper" EMS, bigger injectors, and a bigger MAP sensor in a week, an FMU is the most retarded thing you could do. The last turbocharged B18C1 I saw with an FMU blew the motor 100 miles later, and took the turbo with it. Oddly enough, I finagled a deal to get so I could finally have a genuine Garrett mock-up turbo complete with butt-raped turbine wheel.
