Manual Boost Controllers
I think with me it would just be to tempting to turn the know just a *little* bit more. At least with it under the in the engine bay you have to put a little more effort into changing boost levels so you are a little more likley to think about the consequences on your motor.
just as tempting as it would be to have a digital boost controller inside the car. I would keep the ugly manual boost controller under the engine bay where it belongs.. if you made a nice switch, that would look good in your car... But then again, if this is an all our race car and looks dont matter then why the hell not?
actually it would have bad side effects. The vacum run would be too long on a normal manual boost controler. On an average, you dont want any wastegate lines to be longer then about 3-4 feet.....Mike

Don't do it! The lines will make the boost SPIKE like crazy. The longer the lines, the more time it takes for the boost source to reach the mbc, and the longer it takes for the boost to go from the mbc to the wg. My bc lines are SHORT as hell. Use the underhood mbc, or get an ebc. my $.02
What are talking about? Hallman's lines are the same legnth as any other MBC. They just move the "control ****" into the cabin. The MBC stays located under the hood.
Here is a pic (I hope) of Hallmans "new" MBC...
On their standard kits, the **** to adjust spring tension (they use a ball and spring design, not a bleed valve) is attached directly to the MBC. The just routed the **** itself into the cabin.

http://www.turbosmart.com has a mbc that you can adjust from inside the car.
i currently have the Dawes Device MBC in my setup...
I Have yet to run the car with it however (waiting for my clutch), but I have heard very good things about it...
It was only 30 something, and unlike the other MBC's it doesn't "bleed" off boost to increase...It holds the boost you set it too, and then releases it too the actuator...This will give faster spool and even help the wastegates life(it's not moving all the time).
They also sell, a Solinoid to change between the actuators set boost level (spring) and the MBC's boost level. Its controlled by a switch in the cabin.
Heres their site...

In that case, "you are correct, sir"
