Default manifold almost touch the turbine

The turbine is almost touching the manifold.
To avoid heat transfer, what are my solutions?

Turbo blanket?
Heat wrap the manifold ?
Manifold to turbine spacer ?

Do you have other suggestions ?

Thanks

Jony

I think you just named the only 3 solutions, personally I would just get an extra flange and some longer bolts and get another 1/2 inch or so of clearance then wrap the manifold.

How close is it? I cant see anything at all.

I hope you meant compressor is touching the manifold... Becuase a turbine housing will always touch the manifold becuase that is how it is held on the car. Spacer with double gaskets would be the fastest solution however your intercooler will take care of what heat soak you will get at your stop and go traffic, by third gear on open road your IAT will be back to normal.

my compressor cover is 1/8" away from my manifold. It's been like that for a long time and my IATs are nice and low. I wouldn't worry about it.

if your really worried go get a flange and space it out from the manifold. and heat wrap that section on the manifold. that about all you can do.

Id try a tapered spacer between the turbo and the manifold. That and a blanket should be plenty I would think...

Heat wrap will help significantly. THose manifolds have a lot of surface area so it can help lower your overall bay temps if you do the whole thing.
