Default Manifold choice

Simple question for you FI guys.

Manifold # 1:

This is my current manifold. I really think it sucks, my EGTs are real high although im runing rich, and i think it has to do with the shape of the manifold. Someone on HT(Cant remember his screen name) told me that such a manifold would produce a lot of hot spots and tend to crack (Which has done twice ).

Manifold# 2:

This is a new manifold my friend did for his car.

Notice how both our turbos are moved to the side instead of in the middle of the manifold (So we could retain AC, me with a 3" DP.). Now, im wondering if i should give it a try to copy this desing despite the fact that my turbo is further away from the center.

Do you think i could see enough benefit to give it a try?

Yes, try manifold #2. The runners are more closer to even, compared to #1. Gooooooo for it!

Go buy a BmC Manifold, they are really cheap and the welding is great. 200 buck well spent no cracking...
